A special service for doctors and patients
As a full-service, community tissue bank, we take great pride in these key elements of our tissue program:
- Our inventory is guided strictly by physician needs in the local community, with 85% of recovered tissue going to patients in the Northwest.
- All transplant tissue provided by Northwest Tissue Services is from regional donors evaluated by our staff, recovered in our operating room, tested under our direction, and distributed, tracked and followed by the Northwest Tissue Services team.
- Regional allograft consultants are always available to visit the hospitals and consult with physicians on any issue relating to the type of grafts and available inventory.
- GraftTrack, our proprietary donor to recipient custodial documentation process, can accurately track 95% of all tissue donations and patient recipients. Our tracking accuracy is significantly higher than the industry average of 55%.
- Our Fresh Graft program provides tissue that has been recovered for regional physicians on a custom need basis and is carefully monitored to be the optimal match based on patient age, size, and gender.
- Our Osteoarticular program is recognized nationally as one of the largest and most comprehensive long bone transplant programs in the United States. We coordinate our inventory with physicians and hospitals by using x-rays provided to match their graft specifications to one in our supply that will fit their specific need.
