Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a broad range of tissue transplantation services to the community, to conduct research directed at improving the quality of tissue transplantation and to provide education and consultation in tissue transplantation.
These values guide Northwest Tissue Services' decisions and actions:
- We maintain the highest ethical standards, allowing Northwest Tissue Services to be a trusted source of allograft and tissue products. The highest standard of safety for donors, recipients and employees is essential.
- Respect for donors and their families is a guiding principle at NWTS. We have an obligation to be a good steward of our donor gifts.
- Our controlled recovery procedures are only performed in an operating room environment, and are never post-autopsy.
- We work closely with our professional partners to provide unparalleled service and all of the necessary resources they require to support the highest level of success in tissue transplantation and allografts.
- GraftTrack, our custodial documentation process can accurately track 95% of all tissue donations and recipients, a number that is significantly higher than the industry average of 55%.
- We are continually exploring new and innovative recovery, processing and distribution techniques. This allows our hospital partners to be the first to know about and benefit from advancements in tissue banking.
