As the director of Northwest Tissue Services, Karyn Denton oversees all operations with a management philosophy guided by over 20 years of organization history.
Before being named Northwest Tissue Services director, Karyn most recently was with Snoqualmie Valley Hospital where she served as Chief Operating Officer. In a career spanning over 25 years, she has served managerial roles in a variety of healthcare settings, including Northwest Kidney Centers, and LifeCenter Northwest, a four state organ transplant and donation organization where she held the position of Chief Operating Officer.
Karyn says, "Having witnessed the success over the years of patients who receive blood transfusions and organ/tissue transplants, it is a unique aspect of healthcare. Patients receive treatment modalities that are life preserving, life enhancing, and life saving. The opportunity to further contribute to, and advance these treatments, has a direct impact on the quality of life of all patients receiving care."
Karyn has a broad academic background, having received a B.S. degree in Nursing from the University of Washington, and an MBA in Healthcare Administration from Jones International University. She is also a registered nurse in Washington State, and a member of the Northwest Organization of Nurse Executives.
